But Rodger Corser, who rose to fame in the title role of the beloved Australian drama Doctor, Doctor, says fans would be disappointed if they ever found out what he was really like.
Which is why the 50-year-old says he would never join the cast of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
Rodger, who hosts Channel 10’s controversial real-life mystery series The Traitors, made the surprising reveal during an interview with The Courier Mail on Thursday.
The likeable actor, who has starred in Home and Away and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, says his would never be able to keep up his ‘amiable’ on screen image in the jungle.

Rodger rose to fame as the dashing Dr. Hugh Knight in Doctor, Doctor
‘I don’t want people to see the real me,’ he said during the chat.
‘I’ve spent 25 years trying to hide that. And I think people would end up saying ”Oh, my God, what an obnoxious pr***,”.’
Elsewhere in the interview, Rodger described his successful 25-year career as ‘luck’.
‘I am shocked I’ve lasted this long,’ he says.
‘You like to think you’ll have some longevity but it doesn’t happen to everyone. So to be going into my third decade – I’m pretty lucky.’
In 2021 fans were devastated when they learned that Rodger’s sexy Hugh Knight character in Doctor Doctor would not be returning for a 6th season.
Rodger later found a place at the desk as a guest host on Today Extra.

The handsome star later appeared in a guest role in Channel 10’s comedy-drama Five Bedrooms.
Last year, Rodger wowed fans in the Netflix series in Thai Cave Rescue about the famed Tham Luang drama.
He played Dr Richard Harris – one of the two Aussie expert cave divers who helped rescue a Thai soccer team from a flooded cave back in 2018.
Rodger will return as host of the second season The Traitors on Channel 10 from August 13.
