Deontay Wilder breaks down in TEARS on The Traitors while declaring he ‘CAN’T go on’ – after influencing contestants to BANISH Dancing with the Stars professional Maks Chmerkovskiy

Deontay Wilder was reduced to tears and came close to quitting The Traitors after falsely accusing Maks Chmerkovskiy of being a traitor and getting him banished from the game.

The 38-year-old boxing champion influenced the downfall of the Dancing with the Stars pro, 43, having gone as far to accuse him of having a ‘poker face that could fool a clown’ during the latest dramatic roundtable.

After convincing the majority of his other celebrity players to vote out Maks, Deontay was left devastated when the dancer revealed he was in fact a faithful.

The sportsman cried on the sofa as Love Island UK’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, British former politician John Bercow, Real Housewives alums Tamra Judge and Phaedra Parks, and Bling Empire star Kevin Kreider discussed the group’s foiled attempt to catch a traitor.

Deontay had previously voted out a faithful – RuPaul’s Drag Race star Peppermint.

‘I don’t know how much I can go on,’ Deontay admitted. ‘My heart. I can’t do this no more, man.

‘This sh*t is f*****g with me too much.’

Pleading with him to stay, Kevin responded: ‘Deontay, we need you man.’

As Deontay continued to shed tears, Phaedra, who unbeknownst to the rest of the group is a traitor, went over to comfort him and wipe away his tears.

‘Do not cry,’ she said. ‘It’s a hard game.’

Speaking in her confessional, Phaedra said of the sporting legend’s disposition: ‘Deontay is so emotional and upset about Maks’ exit because he’s a champion of his friend’s departure.’

‘This not what he does,’ she continued.

Before breaking down, Deontay had been a key player in Maks’ ousting from the game after becoming convinced that the professional dancer was a traitor.

Speaking in front of his fellow contestants at the roundtable, Deontay had announced: ‘Certain people have changed up on me since the first time I met them.

‘This man, he is charming. This man is intelligent. He wears a poker face that could fool a clown.’

He then turned to face Maks and announced: ‘It’s you, Maks.’

‘The way you move is of a traitor, the way you smile is of a traitor, the way you speak, you’re a leader,’ he continued.

By the end of the roundtable, Maks had racked up the majority of the votes, with a total of 10 against him.

Before leaving the game for good, he stepped up to the circle of truth and simply declared: ‘I promise, no long speeches. I am a faithful.’

As the camera panned towards Deontay, the boxer looked visibly upset by the outcome.

Addressing the remaining players, host Alan Cumming announced: ‘Faithful, you have delivered another decisive blow. Unfortunately, it was against yourselves.

‘You really are making it easy for the Traitors.’

He continued: ‘A recalibration is in order, a team tactics talk before the next roundtable assault. But that will have to wait until tomorrow.

‘For those of you who find yourselves in the Traitors crosshairs, it might be too late. Goodnight.’

The Traitors is a nail-biting psychological adventure in which treachery and deceit are the name of the game.
