A Coronation Street character has been recast after 11 years on the soap ahead of a brand new storyline.
Ruby Dobbs, daughter of Tyrone and Fizz, has been played by actress Macy Alabi since the character’s birth in September 2012.
She will be replaced by show newcomer Billie Naylor, with show spoilers showing her first scenes, set to air next week.
Macy has now left her role in the soap as she is set to start high school later this year, according to Digital Spy.
In upcoming scene’s Ruby prepares for the Little Big Shotz summer spectacular at the community centre, where she goes head-to-head with her older sister, Hope, for the leading role.

Following the rehearsals, Glenda Shuttleworth announces Ruby has landed the role, but her older sister is less than impressed.
It comes following Fiz Stape’s tearful farewell from the soap as her character set off to Norwich while taking on a change of career.
The character (played by Jennie McAlpine) has said an emotional goodbye to her girls Hope and Ruby, as well as husband Tyrone Dobbs.,
But in reality, the storyline will mark the temporary exit for actress Jennie, 38, who revealed earlier this yes that she was expecting her third child.
In the scenes, Beth Sutherland told Stephen Reid that she’s interested in taking the new Underworld supervisor role based in Norwich.
However, amid Beth’s marital woes with husband Kirk Sutherland, Fiz is forced to tell her pal that Kirk is clearly missing her.
Later, Stephen called Fiz into the office and offered her the supervisor job in Norwich.
As a further incentive, he informed her that the salary is double what she is on now.

After telling husband Tyrone about the job offer, he encourages her to go for it.
Later, with her decision made, Fiz packed up her bags and prepared to start her new role in Norwich.
In the factory, her pals Izzy Armstrong and Kirk were seen lending their support and wishing her luck in the job.
Meanwhile, Tyrone’s grandmother Evelyn Plummer and Fiz’s girls Hope and Ruby waved the machinist off as she headed for the station with Tyrone.
