Top high school prospect Cooper Flagg announced his commitment to Duke on Monday.
The projected No 1 pick for the 2025 NBA Draft had offers from UConn and Kansas, but said he saw himself as a Blue Devil from his second campus visit.
‘After I got on campus, I really started to envision myself in Durham,’ Flagg told SLAM. ‘All the love I felt made me really excited, seeing all the Crazies and the atmosphere in Cameron. I’m honored that I have the opportunity to join the brotherhood.’
Duke head coach Jon Scheyer started scouting the 6-foot-8 forward on the 15U Nike EYBL circuit. In August, Flagg announced that he was reclassifying to the class of 2024, making him eligible for the 2025 NBA draft after a season in college.
