Clint Dempsey and Micah Richards hilariously re-enact their bust-up during a 2007 Premier League game as the former soccer stars reunite on CBS: ‘You don’t want this!’

Clint Dempsey and Micah Richards re-enacted one of their old Premier League bust-ups in a hilarious moment on CBS’s latest Champions League show.

During a match between Fulham and Manchester City in 2007, the former top-division players were battling it out for the ball when they became embroiled in a heated spat, which saw both men stand head-to-head after shoving each other.

As tempers flared, they were eventually separated by then-City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel before both men picked up yellow cards.

While Dempsey was filling in for regular analyst Thierry Henry – who was covering AC Milan vs PSG in person – the CBS crew decided it was a good idea to show a clip of the incident before Jamie Carragher joked that they should re-enact it.

As they got up to comply with the request, Dempsey jokingly referenced what he was saying at the time and said: ‘I told him to get his weight up.’

Dempsey was filling in for Thierry Henry on Tuesday’s Champions League coverage show

Richards then quickly proclaimed: ‘I was like, “you don’t want this, you don’t want this!”‘

Dempsey added: ‘His teammate had to save him,’ in reference to Richards’ colleagues breaking up the head-to-head.

Richards then tried his hand at an American accent as he joked: ‘Basically he’s saying, “you don’t know where I’m from dog.”‘

As a final joke before returning to their actual jobs of discussing Champions League action, Dempsey spread his arms and proclaimed: ‘I’m from the oldest town in Texas, Nacogdoches.’

Carragher then asked Richards what he said in response to which he meekly said: ‘I said I’m from Chapeltown,’ sparking laughter in the studio.
