Footage of a fan brawl during Saturday’s game between the Cleveland Guardians and the Los Angeles Angels has gone viral.
The altercation involved a male in a red shirt and two women seated behind him while another male fan, innocently holding a tray of nachos, looked as if he was trying to defuse the situation.
In a turn of events that escalated very quickly, one of the women, who was also wearing red, appeared to make a spitting motion at the man she was talking to. It’s not clear if he was spat on in the video by Instagram user b1ake_55.
The man in red immediately reacted and landed a slap on her head before pushing the woman flying back into her seat.
The follow through from his smack struck the elbow of the man holding his mid-game snack, which led to the nachos tumbling to the floor before he could devour them.

A fan who appeared to try and broker peace had his nachos knocked to the ground and responded by getting involved
In an attempt to avenge his fallen snack the man in navy transformed from attempted peacemaker to a fighter as he stepped, although the effort did not end well for him.
The two women that were originally arguing with the man in red, along with the woman who was sitting next to him then got involved in the pushing and shoving.
Other fans close by began to break up the brawl with the man in red still seen landing punches on the other male as he appeared to still be on the ground although not fully visible.

Josh Naylor hit a three-run homer as Cleveland erupted for six runs in the eighth inning to storm back to pull off an unexpected comeback.
Down 6-2 and seemingly headed for another disappointing loss, the Guardians, who have been at the bottom of baseball in most offensive categories, pulled off an improbable win that looked like so many last season on the way to an AL Central title.
Andres Gimenez also homered in the eighth for Cleveland, which until that point had hit into some tough luck and hurt itself with bad baserunning.
When Naylor’s fifth homer touched down in the right-field seats, Cleveland’s dugout exploded and a crowd of 27,644 fans, some of whom had been booing earlier in the inning, finally had something to get excited about.
