Chris Hemsworth reveals his New Year’s resolutions for 2024 as he makes ‘lifestyle changes’… amid claims he and wife Elsa Pataky have ‘drifted apart’

Chris Hemsworth has shared his New Year’s resolutions for 2024.

The Hollywood heartthrob, 40, revealed he is continuing to prioritise health and fitness but with a structured approach to goal setting.

Taking to Instagram, the Thor: Love and Thunder star plugged his Centr fitness app before sharing an important message and weighing in on the ‘new year, new me’ trend.

‘Happy New Year everyone. As I sit here starting 2024 with my family and friends, it really got me to thinking about the “new year, new me” mentality that made the rounds on social media and I have some thoughts,’ he said in the video.

‘We as a society have to start working on our goals in progression and never in absolutes. Flipping a switch and yourself when the calendar changes is never going to be a sustainable way to achieve your goals. It’s just a quick way to get discouraged.’

Chris added: ‘The only way to move forward consistently is to make easy lifestyle changes until they become your new habit, your new routine.’

The actor then stated his goals for this year, which included tasks like increasing breathwork in his workouts, utilising meditation for stress relief, and managing better sleep for faster recovery.

‘I’m going to put more breathwork into my workout, more meditations, better sleep practices, and finally more functional movements into my exercises,’ he announced.

‘Doing lifestyle changes in small steps will help all of us live our best life in 2024.’

Chris’ post comes amid reports he and his wife Elsa Pataky have ‘drifted apart as a couple’.

The genetically blessed duo, who have been married for more than 10 years, recently set tongues wagging that not all was well in paradise after they went on separate holidays.

A source close to the pair told In Touch magazine that despite maintaining a united front for their family and spending Christmas together, the duo have been growing apart for some time.

'Doing lifestyle changes in small steps will help all of us live our best life in 2024,' he said

‘The status of Chris and Elsa’s marriage is a question mark,’ the source told the publication.

‘The separate vacations are a huge red flag, but it’s more than that. They’re still very much a united family, but they’ve drifted apart as a couple.’

The source claimed Chris wants to live a ‘simpler life’ but ‘Elsa wants more’.

‘They were the perfect husband-and-wife team for so long – both gorgeous, beautiful kids. Everything seemed picture-perfect. But things have definitely changed,’ they added.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Chris and Elsa for comment.

The couple have spent a significant amount of time holidaying separately in recent months, prompting fans to question if all is well in paradise.

Since fans raised their concerns, Chris shared an image of himself and Elsa to Instagram, showing the pair lapping up the sun aboard a boat.

The chatter began when Elsa and the couple’s children put up the family Christmas tree at their Byron Bay mansion without Chris.

‘Haven’t seen you and Chris together in a while. Hope all is good,’ one follower commented underneath photos the Spanish star posted of the Hemsworth clan decorating the home.

‘Where is Chris?’ another worried fan wrote, as one pointed out the pair have been taking less photos together than usual.

Chris and Elsa tied the knot during the Christmas holidays in 2010.

The couple live in a $30million mansion in Broken Head near Byron Bay after relocating from Los Angeles to Australia nine years ago.
