It comes after Charlotte candidly opened up about her ectopic pregnancy and admitted she thought she’d ‘never be able to have kids’.

An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in the fallopian tube, meaning a baby is unable to develop and leaving the mother’s health in danger.

While filming her BBC reality show, the reality star said: ‘When I had my ectopic pregnancy, I didn’t even know I was pregnant. I just thought I was having a normal period but with extra bad cramps.

‘When I was taken to hospital, I found out I was having an ectopic pregnancy and if it wasn’t sorted there and then, I may potentially die.’

While there is a chance of conceiving again, it is advisable for the woman to wait a while due to damage caused in the fallopian tube.

She ended by saying: ‘It was an awful time and I truly thought I would never be able to have kids’

Then there was a sweet clip of Charlotte and her boyfriend Jake Ankers during one of their hospital scans.

The couple held hands as they saw Alba Jean on the screen, with Charlotte saying: ‘What a relief’

Charlotte recently admitted she hasn’t forgiven ex Gary Beadle after she went through the ectopic pregnancy alone while he was filming Ex On The Beach.

In 2016, while the television personality was going through the traumatic experience, Gary, was out in Thailand filming the reality show where he slept with Jemma Lucy and also had a threesome.

As a result of the ectopic pregnancy, Charlotte’s fallopian tube had ruptured and was releasing toxins into her body.

‘The X-ray showed how much damage had been caused. Because I’d left it a week, it’d torn open my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally,’ she explained to Heat.

WHAT IS AN ECTOPIC PREGNANCY?

An ectopic pregnancy is when a fertilised egg implants itself outside of the womb, usually in one of the fallopian tubes.

The fallopian tubes are the tubes connecting the ovaries to the womb. If an egg gets stuck in them, it won’t develop into a baby.

In the UK, around one in every 90 pregnancies is ectopic. This is around 11,000 pregnancies a year.

An ectopic pregnancy doesn’t always cause symptoms and may only be detected during a routine pregnancy scan.

Symptoms can include a combination of:

  • a missed period and other signs of pregnancy
  • tummy pain low down on 1 side
  • vaginal bleeding or a brown watery discharge
  • pain in the tip of your shoulder
  • discomfort when peeing or pooing

Symptoms of a fallopian tube rupturing or splitting open are:

  • a sharp, sudden and intense pain in your tummy
  • feeling very dizzy, sick, or fainting
  • looking very pale

This is very serious and surgery to repair the fallopian tube needs to be carried out as soon as possible.

A rupture can be life-threatening, but fortunately they’re uncommon and treatable, if dealt with quickly. Deaths from ruptures are extremely rare in the UK.
