Cassie’s deleted photo with a bruised face and cut lip RESURFACES amid Diddy rape lawsuit…as NYPD reveals rapper is NOT being investigated

A since-deleted photo of Cassie has resurfaced amid the singer’s federal lawsuit against rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, after he allegedly abused and raped her amid their 10-year relationship.

The Me & U songstress, 37, initially shared the selfie back in 2014 – which had shown her with a bruised face and cut lip.

At the time, the injuries were claimed to have been caused by an ATV accident during a trip to Dubai, per Page Six.

In the lawsuit which came to light on Thursday, Cassie alleged that the Coming Home hitmaker, 54 – whom she split from in 2018 – controlled and beat her, and also forced her to have sex with male prostitutes.

However, Combs has since denied all the claims and alleged that his ex is attempting to extort him because he ‘refused to pay her $30million’ with the NYPD also revealing there currently is no investigation into the rapper.

In the past image, Cassie appeared to be taking a close-up selfie to show off new sunglasses that she had gotten while leaving Dubai.

In the caption of the post, she had written, ‘New #raybans. on my way home #toomuchfun #Dubai.’

A small bandage could be seen over her eyebrow on the right side of her forehead, while her lip was also discolored and bruised.

Cassie – whose real name is Casandra Ventura – was first romantically linked to Diddy in 2007 until their relationship came to an end in 2018.

On Thursday, The Perfect Match actress officially filed legal documents in Manhattan’s Federal District Court and claimed that she was ‘ready’ to tell her story.

She stated, ‘After years in silence and darkness. I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.’

Her lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, also alleged that the rapper had offered Cassie ‘eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit’ which she declined.

In the lawsuit, she also claims that Combs was physically and emotionally abusive throughout the relationship, and raped her in September 2018 after she tried to break up with him.

However, Diddy has since claimed his ex-girlfriend Cassie is trying to extort him with her rape and abuse lawsuit because he refused to give her $30million. He also  denied all of her allegations and has vowed to fight them in court.

Her lawsuit describes in detail how he allegedly drugged her, intimidated her and forced her to have sex with male sex workers in front of him throughout their romance.

She also claims he had Kid Cudi’s car blown up in his driveway after he discovered they had been talking.

In a statement, his attorneys told DailyMail.com, ‘Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.

‘For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.

‘Despite withdrawing her initial threat, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs’s reputation and seeking a payday.’

TMZ yesterday reported that the NYPD was investigating Combs for alleged sexual assault.

A spokesman for the force however told DailyMail.com today that there is no such investigation.

Cassie’s attorneys declined to comment on the criminal investigation. Her attorneys tell DailyMail.com that he offered her millions to silence her.

‘Mr. Combs offered Ms. Ventura eight figures to silence her and prevent the filing of this lawsuit.’

‘She rejected his efforts and decided to give a voice to all woman who suffer in silence. Ms. Ventura should be applauded for her bravery.’

The lawsuit claimed she has required intensive medical and psychological care to recover from ‘trauma she lived through’.

She is seeking unspecified damages. The lawsuit is brought under the Adult Survivors Act – which is a New York law allowing people to file claims even after the statute of limitations has run out.

The suit said, ‘With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.’

The since-deleted 2014 photo shared by Cassie is not the only thing to have resurfaced since the lawsuit came to light.

Diddy’s friend, Yung Joc, claimed that the Last Night hitmaker had forced the songstress to shave her head in a video from 2022.

His ex, Gina Huynh, had previously accused him of abuse and claimed he had ‘stomped’ on her stomach during an interview that took place in 2019.
