Carlos Alcaraz is into the US Open third round with a straight sets victory over South African Lloyd Harris, 6-3, 6-1, 7-6.
Harris led 5-4 in the third set but Alcaraz eventually triumphed on a tiebreak to end the match in three sets.
The world no. 1 will face Dan Evans next, after he became the fourth British player to make the third round courtesy of a lobsided 1-6 6-1 6-3 6-3 victory over Holland’s Botic Van de Zandschulp.
