Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey may be handed a lifeline with a loan switch to Premier League side Burnley.
Ramsey, who earns £400,000-per-week in wages, is keen to return to the Premier League this month after Juventus told him could leave.
The Clarets will have to battle it out with the likes of Newcastle to sign the 31-year-old during the January transfer window.
Burnley are going to offer midfielder Aaron Ramsey an escape route out of Juventus
According to The Sun, the Clarets have been in talks over a loan deal for the last few weeks.
However, Sean Dyche’s side will struggle to pay the Wales international’s £400,000-per-week wages.
Therefore, Ramsey could reject their approach – having already turned down offers from Newcastle, Wolves and a couple of Spanish clubs.
Ramsey is said to be convinced that he can earn a move to a more high-profile side in England, despite suffering from injuries yet again this season.

Nevertheless, Ramsey will leave Juve this month as boss Massimiliano Allegri confirmed his departure.
He told reporters: ‘Ramsey, he returned today after we had given him a few days off to work, to train separately, in England.
‘In any case, he’s an outgoing player.’
That has reportedly led to several clubs making loan offers to the Serie A giants to take the 31-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season.
However, Ramsey has been less than impressed with the offers that have been table so far.

Ramsey – who contracted coronavirus earlier this month – joined the Old Lady on a free transfer in July 2019 after spending 11 years at Arsenal.
During that time, Ramsey has featured just 69 times and scored six goals due to ongoing injures.
As it stands, Ramsey has made just one Serie A start for Allegri’s side this season and came off the bench twice.
