Witness Diya Shivlani told 9News that she was shocked that someone could be stabbed over something as simple as a bike.

‘We see across the road there’s a person lying on the floor bleeding, they were holding an ice-pack on this person and they were crying out in pain,’ she said.

‘I am absolutely shaken. This is ridiculous that it happened in daylight over a bike, is it even worth stabbing someone over a bike?’

The Perth father was rushed to hospital in a critical condition and remained in intensive care unit for seven hours before dying of his injuries.
