Britney Spears ‘may never perform again’ as it’s claimed work is not her top priority

Britney Spears reportedly has no immediate plans to return to the stage as she celebrates her conservatorship victory and engagement to fiancé Sam Asghari.

Sources close to TMZ on Saturday claimed the pop princess has not made work and performing her top priority, with some suggesting she may never perform again.

In court on Wednesday, a judge removed Jamie Spears from the conservatorship that’s been controlling his 39-year-old daughter’s personal life and $60 million estate after 13 years, in news that reportedly caused Britney to ‘burst into tears’.

TMZ’s insiders claimed Britney’s mindset ‘for a long time’ hasn’t been on performing.

MailOnline has reached out to the singer’s representatives for comment.

Britney’s last major shows were for her Las Vegas residency, Britney: Piece of Me, which opened in December 2013 and finished in December 2017, after grossing close to $138 million.

During that time, Spears remained under her 13-year-long conservatorship with father Jamie in control, and claimed in an Instagram post in August that her schedule was that demanding she only went out twice.

Britney is relishing her recent conservatorship victory, taking to Instagram this week to celebrate.

The singer penned online, ‘On cloud 9 right now!!!’, alongside pictures and video of her flying a prop plane for the first time.

It’s a huge victory for Britney in her long battle to regain control of her personal and financial affairs. LA Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny appointed accountant John Zabel as a temporary conservator after removing Jamie.

Zabel – a Certified Public Accountant will take over Britney’s financial affairs until the court decides she’s ready to look after herself again and the conservatorship can be completely terminated – which could happen in just a few months.

Dozens of fans and supporters of what has become known as the #FreeBritney movement gathered outside the court, waving banners and changing ‘Free Britney’ and ‘Jamie for jail’.

Britney’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, thanked the movement for its support, which he said had been ‘instrumental’.

Hitting back: Britney was not in attendance at the hearing where a judge heard arguments for ending the conservatorship. Both of her parents Jamie and Lynn attended virtually via Zoom

‘Britney burst into tears upon hearing the judge’s decision,’ an anonymous source told Page Six.

‘For the longest time, she had begun to think that she would never see the day that her father’s domineering control over every single aspect of her life would end, but it finally happened.’

‘She’s in shock and at a loss for words but literally jumping for joy,’ the source added. ‘She hasn’t felt joy like this in 13 years.’

While unclear when Spears took her flying lesson, the post is thought to be symbolic of her newfound freedom.

In the post about her flying lesson, Britney wrote: ‘On cloud 9 right now !!!! First time flying a plane and first time in a prop plane !!! Geez I was scared !!! Pssss bringing the ship home, JL … Stay classy beautiful people !!!! New pics coming soon !!!!’

Sam has vowed to ‘take care’ of the pop star after her naked Instagram posts sparked concerns among fans – just days on from her conservatorship battle win over dad Jamie.

The personal trainer sought to reassure one fan who urged him to look after his fiancée on Friday, whose mental health troubles have been well-documented.

‘@samasghari take care of our girl,’ the fan posted on Instagram with a face throwing a kiss emoji and a peace sign.

‘I got you America,’ Sam replied on his Instagram Story, with flexed bicep, winking face and prayer hands emojis.
