Beers are on me: Pub worker sprays an entire keg of beer through his van after it erupts in his hands – and soaks a customer in the process
- The moment a beer keg explodes in the back of a man’s 4WD is caught on film
- Social media users were in hysterics over the mishap at a WA brewery
- A man and a woman were both saturated by the erupting beer barrel
A pub worker will struggle to live down a disastrous few minutes on the job after a keg of beer erupted all over a car, himself, and a nearby woman.
Hilarious CCTV shows the unlucky man load the keg into the back of a vehicle before something goes drastically wrong and amber liquid spurts in all directions.
He grabs the erupting keg and desperately hauls it on to the pavement as he is blasted in the face with froth.
A shocked woman in a dress watched in horror as the inside of the vehicle was soaked, but soon she too was drenched by the fountain of booze.
Commenters said the now-deleted TikTok video was taken in the car park of the Indian Ocean Brewery car park at Mindarie, in Perth’s north.
Viewers lamented as 118 schooners, or 88 imperial pints, flowed like a river through the car park of the brewery.
‘That kind of waste should be a punishable crime,’ one person joked.
Another asked: ‘Why is he not running for a pint glass?’
Others suggested the video may have been fabricated in a slight against the fine people of Mindarie, known for their well-documented love of beer.
‘If this was actually in Mindarie that guy would have immediately done a keg stand and tried to finish it through pure instinct,’ a commenter wrote.
Another joked: ‘There are worse things to be showered with.’

While it’s not know what caused the keg to burst, commenters suggested the person most likely left the ‘coupler’ on.
A keg coupler attaches to the top of the barrel opening the valve and allowing the brew to be pumped out through a CO2 compressed gas line eventually ending up flowing from the beer tap.
But in this case it appears the coupler was left on and accidentally opened when it was being moved in the vehicle.
