Bayern Munich have confirmed that ace winger Kingsley Coman underwent minor heart surgery on Thursday to deal with a breathing issue.
Coman, 25, was suffering from shortness of breath and made only a cameo appearance in Bayern’s 3-0 win over Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann revealed Coman’s condition and operation in his press conference on Friday.
‘Kingsley Coman underwent surgery yesterday,’ he said.
‘His heartbeat rhythm had a slight disturbance with a minor added beat. At times he had a slight shortage of breath.
‘That’s why we opted for long-term ECG monitoring and went ahead with this procedure.’
Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann said Coman will be back in cardio training on Tuesday
Coman’s procedure is a far cry from the heart-starting device that was implanted into Inter and Denmark star Christian Eriksen following his collapse on the pitch during Euro 2020.
In fact, Nagelsmann expects the Frenchman back in training in a few days time and fully fit not long after.
‘He (Coman) will be doing cardio training again on Tuesday and won’t be out of action for any more than one and a half to two weeks,’ Nagelsmann said.
Coman is a highly decorated players across his years at Bayern, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
He has amassed ten league titles over his career and scored the winning goal for Bayern in the 2020 Champions League final, against his former club PSG.
