A thrifty mum has shared a one-pot, hassle-free pasta recipe to make dinner time easy.
‘A million years ago I saw this recipe in a magazine and I have rarely strained pasta since,’ the Aussie mum said in a post to a popular Facebook group.
The woman took inspiration from a two-step Martha Stewart recipe and said the hack will save you from washing a colander again.

She simply adds pasta, oil or butter and seasonings to a pan and just barely covers it with water.
She then brings it all to the boil, turns down the heat, and simmers until the liquid has reduced.
She then tops with her favourite cheese before serving to finish off.
The mum said you can tweak the recipe to your own tastes by adding any jarred sauce or pesto, herbs, and veggies of your choice.
