As Dubai Bling debuts on Netflix, a look at its VERY glamourous wealthy stars

There is no shortage of glamour on Netflix, from the property porn of Selling Sunset to the dramatics of Bling Empire. Yet, its newest series, Dubai Bling, outdoes them both in drama and in wow factor.

The series, which launched last week on the streaming platform, follows the life of the UAE’s elite, from their glittering careers to their dazzling wardrobe, intense relationships and the glitzy events they get all the invites to.

Whether it’s Zeina Khoury, a real estate CEO calling herself ‘The Queen of Versace’ or her friend Safa Siddiqui, an Iraqi UK-born designer who wants to buy a new house because her walk-in closet is too small, the show’s stars are all competing for the spotlight in Dubai’s jungle of glass and steel.

And if you enjoy a TV spat a-la Real Housewives, wait until you witness the many great feuds documented in the show, including the one opposing Instagram sensation Farhana Bodi to Loujain “LJ” Adada, the widow of Saudi billionaire Walid Juffali, who made headlines in 2012 when they tied the knot in a $10million ceremony in Venice.

And with none of the participants scoring a net worth less than six figures, the show takes viewers from one ostentatious display of wealth to another, making for delightful viewing.

Here, FEMAIL talks you through the cast members to look for in this Dubai extravaganza.

Zeina Khoury – The Queen of Versace

The indisputable narrator of the series is Zeina Khoury, who guides viewers through the different noteworthy personalities on Dubai’s social scene.

A real estate giant in her own right, Zeina, 38,  is the CEO of Dubai-based agency Highmark Real Estate, and has access to the most exclusive properties in the city.

As she introduces herself, the beauty, who is originally from Lebanon, reveals she earned herself the nickname ‘The Queen of Versace’ when she worked on Versace Palazzo Dubai, a luxury hotel located on the Dubai waterfront and known for its striking architecture and Italian furnishings.

Speaking to Harper Bazaar’s Arabia last week, the reality TV star explained that the developers of Palazzo Versace Dubai ‘offered me a position and by the 3rd month I got the top sales award and the rest is history.

‘A job in real estate has no floor but no ceiling either. I gambled on the unlimited income potential and it worked in my favour,’ she added.

Ironically, Zeina also revealed that when she arrived in Dubai in 2006, fresh off university, she was rejected by one of the biggest real estate groups in the city who told her she didn’t have what it takes to succeed.

While she is at the centre of the show’s most all-consuming drama, off camera, she is happily married to Hanna Azzi, the general manager of Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts EMEA in Pearl Jumeira, Dubai, with whom she’s had two children.

However, Hanna is a private man who doesn’t have social media, and little is known about him.

Zeina’s net worth is estimated to be around $2.8million, and like all her friends, she is not afraid of flaunting it by wearing nothing but head-to-toe designer at all times sharing a glimpse of her lavish holidays and red carpet lifestyle on Instagram, where her followers are in the 140,000.

As she offers a round up of Dubai’s high society, Zeina wastes no time in introducing her friend Safa Siddiqui, whom she admits ‘loves drama.’

Safa, 32, who was born and raised in London but is of Iraqi descent, is not afraid to show her fiery side on the programme.

She is first introduced having a row with her husband Fahad over the lack of space in her walk-in wardrobe.

It takes only a few second before Safa demands that her husband buys a new house with bigger storage space for her clothes.

As she admits on the show, Safa: ‘love[s] the smell of luxury.’ She adds: ‘I like to aim high and then go above that.’

Her husband of three years  with whom Safa have a two-year-old daughter, is a constant presence on the series, where it is revealed he gifted her a beautiful Dubai apartment, a chef and where it is understood he funds her lifestyle.

A former corporate success story, Safa followed her husband to Dubai, and forwent her career to focus on their family life.

However, it is clear from her Instagram, where Chanel, Dior and Versace labels, among other more make regular appearances, that her interest lies in fashion.

‘I have always loved fashion and wanted to design clothes for as long as I can remember. People around me have always admired my sense of style. I was the person friends and family came to for fashion advice,’ she told Cosmopolitan Middle East.

The model, who was born in California, grew up in Lebanon, and made headlines in 2012, when she married Saudi billionaire Walid Juffali, in a lavish nuptials.

The ceremony, which saw the couple fly all their guests to Venice in private jets, was reported to have cost $10million.

For her nuptials, LJ was decked out in a Karl Lagerfeld dress estimated to have cost $200,000, and picked Akon as her wedding singer.

At the time, LJ was 25, and her husband-to-be was 60 and while he was already married to American supermodel Christina Estrada, taking a second wife was allowed under Saudi Law at the time.

However, Christina, who dated Prince Andrew in 2000, filed for divorce when she found out about Walid’s marriage to LJ.

LJ had two daughters with Walid, and their youngest, Lana, was born in 2016, before Walid died.

At the time of his death, The Independent reported that Walid had a net worth of $9.2billion, and LJ is thought to have inherited more than $1million out of his fortune.

LJ can be seen going on a date with the wealthiest members of Dubai Bling’s cast, Ebraheem Al Samadi, who enjoys a net worth of $50 million, however, the pair don’t connect in spite of the millionaire’s grand gesture.

Any other woman would be impressed by a man sending a helicopter to pick her up ahead of their date, however, LJ, who jokes she is ‘a rich woman who loves gifts’ shrugs that ‘she’s done it before’ when her beau asked what she thought of the move.

With Netflix describing her as ‘outspoken, assertive and not shy to speak her mind,’ LJ sure makes some ways on the show.
