‘I remember when I had my open heart surgery, the third one,’ the FUBAR star said in a YouTube video that is part of his Arnold’s Pump Club, revealing that it took place in 2018, a few months before he was scheduled to begin work on Terminator six.
The film was released as Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019.
The actor revealed he was scheduled for a non-invasive procedure to replace a heart valve, but says when he came to, the doctor admitted it turned into something major.
He says the surgeon told him ‘we made a mistake and poked through the heart wall… and we had to open you up very quickly to save your life.’
After recovering from the shocking news of what he called ‘a disaster,’ Arnold seemed to take the bad news on the chin and focused on next steps.
‘You collect yourself, shift gears and say, “Okay, what I got to do now is I need to get out of this hospital?”‘
His answer was to follow the doctors advice and start walking as soon as possible.
