Aidan Turner has been pictured with his wedding ring firmly on, following speculation that his marriage to Caitlin Fitzgerald may be on the rocks.

The actor, 39, stepped out with Jenna Coleman, 36, whom he stars alongside in the upcoming West End play, Lemons Lemons Lemons, a revival of the 2015 rom-com.

It comes after Aidan and his actress wife Caitlin FitzGerald, 39, were separately snapped without their wedding bands during outings in London.

Taking to the British capital on Saturday, the Poldark star looked casual in a blue sweater and black trousers while storing his essentials in a brown leather holdall.

Meanwhile, the former Doctor Who companion wrapped up in a chocolate trench coat and trousers in a lighter shade, along with white trainers.

MailOnline has contacted Aidan and Caitlin’s representatives for comment.

Aidan was last pictured with Caitlyn when they enjoyed an evening out at Cabaret in October.

Aidan and American star Caitlin tied the knot in August 2020 in an intimate ceremony with only six people present.

Speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, he said: ‘It was very private, there was almost nobody there.

‘There were six people but no family and a couple of friends that were in Italy already because it was right in the middle of lockdown.’

Aidan stars in the play Lemons Lemons Lemons which opens in the nearby Harold Pinter Theatre from January.

The upcoming play’s offical synopsis reads: ‘Let’s just talk until it goes.’ You’re going to speak more than 123 million words in your lifetime. What will you do when they run out?’

‘Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons is a tender and funny rom-com about what we say, how we say it, and what happens when we can’t say anything anymore’.

It comes after Aidan reflected on a now-famous picture of himself posing shirtless in Poldark, saying he never felt ‘objectified’ amid the fan frenzy over the photograph.

The actor was pictured shirtless as he worked in the fields with a scythe in one hand while starring as Ross Poldark in the BBC historical drama series.

The shirtless scything scene, which appeared in the first series in 2015, caused a frenzy among fans at the time with viewers taking to social media to comment on the moment.

But Aidan has now said that he never felt ‘objectified’ amid the massive fan reaction as he reflected on the debate sparked around the photograph at the time.

He told Radio Times: ‘Was it safer to make a big deal of this photograph because it was a young man? Would it have been handled the same way in the press if it was a young woman? I don’t know. Possibly not. But I didn’t feel objectified.’
