Speaking on her Newlyweds podcast with Peter, Abbey said: ‘It’s when I had these jeans on, they were so tight they would stop the blood where I was sitting down.’

Abbey googled her symptoms, and the symptoms matched that of autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis (MS).

The NHS says MS is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.

She continued: ‘I’d been holding [the worry] in so much that when I got to the doctor, I went hysterical and couldn’t stop crying’.

Abbey explained how the doctor reassured her she did not have MS, but instead suggested she was likely suffering from a mental health condition.

Peter then chipped, telling listeners: ‘Health anxiety is a thing, she has got an issue with that, I’d like Abs to worry less’.

‘It feels like she takes on everyone’s problems, It’s a nice thing but it takes its toll.’

Health anxiety, or hypochondria, is when you constantly worry you’re ill or getting ill – so much so that it begins taking over your life.

Symptoms include frequently checking your body for signs of illness and obsessively looking at health information on the internet.
