A-League: Perth Glory star Jordan Elsey is sent off after 57 seconds vs Western Sydney Wanderers

The second-fastest red card in A-League HISTORY! Perth Glory star Jordan Elsey is sent off for rash tackle just 57 SECONDS into clash with Western Sydney Wanderers

Jordan Elsey endured a nightmare home debut as the Perth Glory star was shown a red card just 57 seconds into his outing for his new club.

Elsey’s rash tackle on Western Sydney Wanderers star Yeni Ngbakoto, in which he went through the back of the attacker, left the referee with no choice but to dismiss the defender on Friday night.

The red card was shown with 1:34 on the clock, making it the second-fastest time in which a player has been sent off in the A-League.

Occupying top spot is former Melbourne Victory goalkeeper Ante Covic, who was sent off after 1 minute and 2 seconds of his side’s clash with Brisbane Roar in 2011.
