A 10-year-old boy with a big voice wowed the judges on the season 16 premiere of America’s Got Talent with his jaw-dropping performance of ‘All By Myself.’
Peter Rosalita, a Filipino citizen who was born in the United Arab Emirates, showed off his range on the NBC competition series when he belted out the lyrics to the 1975 song by Eric Carmen, which was famously covered by Celine Dion in 1996.
The young singer earned a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum, though he admitted he was ‘nervous’ about his top-notch audition.

Dressed in a sharp white three-piece suit, Rosalita answered questions from the judges before he started singing, telling Vergara that he was going to buy himself a Nintendo Switch and a laptop for online school if he won the $1 million grand prize.
‘You realize you’ve only spent about $1,500 so far? Mandel joked, earning laughter from both Rosalita and the audience.
When the boy started singing, Cowell looked like he didn’t know what to think, but then his eyes started to widen as Rosalita hit all the high notes.
The crowd went wild as the young contestant blew away the smiling judges with his nearly flawless performance that ended with a standing ovation.
‘I’m so nervous,’ he said after he finished the song.

‘We were so nervous, too. But we loved you,’ Vergara replied, while Mandel predicted that he’s ‘going to go far in this competition.
Klum commented on how high Rosalita’s voice got, saying: ‘I mean, Mariah [Carey] better watch out.’
‘That was an incredible audition,’ Cowell agreed. ‘There were parts during that audition which literally gave me goosebumps. You have an amazing voice, an amazing personality, an amazing energy. Everyone is going to fall in love with you after this audition.’
All four judges gave a resounding ‘yes’ to Rosalita moving forward in the competition, though he wasn’t the only one who caught their eye.

During the premiere, Mandel was also moved by the Northwell Health Nurse Choir, a group of 18 New York-based group nurses who sang a stirring rendition of Stand By Me.
After their performance, he said they were all ‘heroic’ and declared that he also was going to stand by them as he rose from his seat and moved to the center of the judges’ table.
‘You know why I want to stand for you? So that I can do this,’ Howie said as he slammed the Golden Buzzer sending golden confetti down on the singers.
Show host Terry Crew then announced that Northwell Health Nurse Choir was headed straight to the live shows in Hollywood after getting the Golden Buzzer treatment from Howie.
The two-hour season premiere also featured dog acrobats and dog impersonators, a self-taught 16-year-old aerialist acrobat, a gelatin wrestler, a video game dancer, father and son comedian competitors, and a comedian dressed in a peacock costume who suffered a disastrous wardrobe malfunction.
